Busanga Bush Camp lies in the heart of the Busanga Plains and accommodates 8 guests in 4 well-appointed tents with wall-to-wall views of the spectacular wildlife that frequents the plain in front of the camp. Hippo Lodge a small vintage-style stone built camp with four uniquely built private chalets and two rustic safari tents with each with open air stone bathrooms. Day’s can be spent game-viewing on foot, by vehicle or boat, fishing the Kafue hot spots, ticking away at that bird list, unwinding with a sundowner in a natural hot spring, devouring delicious bush meals on idyllic islands in the Kafue River, or catching that intensely beautiful sunset. Gourmet bush cuisine is prepared by a trained chef and served in an open dining room over looking the river. Adjacent to the dining room is a fully stocked bar and swimming pool. Kapinga Bush Camp is situated in the extreme north of the Kafue National Park, and the north-west corner of the Busanga Plains. With only four luxury safari tents accommodating a maximum of 8 guests, one can be assured of exceptional personal attention. Leopard Lodge is a secluded family run game lodge on the banks of the Kafue River in a game management area bordering the Kafue National Park.
The lodge comprises 5 individual thatched chalets as well as a campsite with 7 stands and full ablutions. Most of the thatched brick-built chalets sleep 2 people, with en-suite facilities, but extra beds can be placed on the enclosed veranda. One chalet has 2 rooms sharing a (hot) shower, toilet & washbasin. Mosquito nets are provided for all beds, & there are braai facilities, a gas stove, fridge & freezer.
A comprehensive refurbishment programme was undertaken during 2007, which sees Leopard Lodge emerging as a secluded, charming and well equipped camp with glorious views of the Kafue River and plains.The camp is self-catering at the moment but a bar & restaurant will be open in 2008. For now, flexibility is the watchword; beer & wine can be brought in with advance notice, as can meat for the barbecue.
Lufupa River Camp and Lufupa Tented Camp are perfectly situated on a high bank overlooking the confluence of Lufupa and Kafue Rivers. Run by Wilderness Safaris, the camps have recently been rebuilt offering excellent accommodation, restaurant and bar, camp site area, good angling and great game viewing opportunities, especially from their river cruising launch. Game drives and Bushwalks too.
Mayukuyuku Camp is situated in the Southern end of the North Section of the Park on the banks of the Kafue River, just three and a half hours drive from Lusaka. Open all year, it offers camping, self catering or full board in en-suite, tented accommodation. With breathtaking views in all directions, the camp is adjacent to rapids and a number of small islands. This part of the Park has a wide variety of mammal species and the river here is home to Clawless Otters, Hippos, Crocodiles and a wide variety of birds including the rare African Finfoot. Good fishing spots and boat launching is also possible. Activities include early morning and evening game drives and short walking safaris. 
McBrides Camp is situated on the East Bank of the wonderful meandering Kafue River. It specialises in walks and walking safaris,boat drifts, exploring the river banks, fishing, and the birding is exceptional. This rustic camp has been built around all the original animals paths, so one shares the camp with the animals. Each thatched chalet has an en-suite bathroom, with a comfortable veranda from which to watch the prolific bird life and animals that wander past. Chris and Charlotte McBride, your hosts, have spent most of their lives in the bush. Chris McBride is an avid student of wildlife and after doing a thesis on lions for an MSc degree, he wrote the well respected books, Liontide and the White Lions of Timbavati. Chris and Charlotte will accompany you on walks, stopping, listening, ambling, watching in the wilderness of this remote and beautiful area.
Mukambi Safari Lodge on the banks of the Kafue river is one of the closer camps to reach from Lusaka by road - an easy three and a half hour drive. Seven chalets in a shady location with a pool and good food. They offer walking safaris, game drives and river cruises. 
Musungwa Lodge is set on the shores of Lake Itezhi-Tezhi with a breathtaking view, accessible throughout the year from Lusaka or Livingstone. Simple en-suite accommodation. Game viewing by vehicle, boat or foot. Leisure activities include squash, tennis, a swimming pool, a library and a tree trail.
Nanzhila Plains Safari Camp – Located in the isolated and seldom visited southern sector of the park, known for its rich diversity of habitat and variety of species, this small and intimate lodge offers an excellent base from which to explore this fascinating area. The area has particularly healthy populations of Cheetah and Wild Dog as well as antelope species such as Roan and Sable. Birding is phenomenal, with excellent opportunities to see such birds as the endemic Black-cheeked Lovebird 
Puku Pan has stylish thatched cottages on the banks of the Kafue River and offer game drives, boating trips, fishing and bush walks. An airstrip nearby facilitates a 50 minute charter flight from Lusaka.
Shumba Bush Camp is situated in the northern region of the Kafue National Park, in the famed Busanga Plains area and comprises six spacious luxury safari tents on raised platforms with breathtaking views of the surrounding plains. A maximum of twelve guests can be accommodated at any one time and great emphasis has been placed on the "guided" experience - being led by qualified, enthusiastic people with in-depth knowledge of the area and its wildlife. The dining and bar area is situated under the shade of enormous trees, elevated to give splendid views of the plains. Kafue Horse Safaris will be open from 11th March 2009. Based on the borders of Kafue National Park, near to the wonderful Lake Itezhi-Tezhi, this company boasts some of the best horse safari guides in the industry and Steven Rufus is very well known in the horse community for the quality and excellent production of his horses. Horse riding will take place within the National Park itself with morning and afternoon rides from the beautifully situated lodge, with plenty of time during the day to relax at the lodge, by the pool or game view from the comfort of your room.As rides are in an area of dangerous game, they can only accept intermediate or advanced riders at this lodge.
