Because Liuwa Plain National Park is so isolated, it remains one of the most pristine safari experiences available in Zambia. It mainly attracts the 4×4 community who come to explore this unspoiled territory and stay at one of the community campsites within the park. Although African Parks assists with bookings and management, the campgrounds are owned and run by the community.

Four of the campsites are located inside the park, with another campground just outside the park. Each campsite can only accommodate up to 20 people, four out of five campsites have flushing toilets, cold water showers and attendants who can assist with gathering water and firewood.

The park offers one lodge – the Time + Tide King Lewanika – which sits higher up on the landscape, hosting endless panoramic views and an abundance of wildlife. The camp is open from late October to mid-July and offers six luxury villas specifically designed to make the most of the sweeping vistas.
