Project Description

HIPPO LODGE

Situated on the East bank of the Kafue River, Hippo Lodge offers full board or self-catering accommodation. It is an untamed slice of Zambian wilderness with excellent fishing, game-viewing and bird-watching.

ABOUT THE ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation at Hippo Lodge consists of only six privately located thatched en-suite chalets of varied sizes, so you can expect peace, quiet and privacy. Each chalet offers a breathtaking view of the Kafue River, so you can surely expect to be woken up each morning to the call of a fish eagle or the splash of a hippo in the water.

Families with children of all ages are welcome!

Full-Board Clients love our delicious food and generous portions of three freshly prepared meals per day served on a superbly positioned deck above the river. Tea and coffee are complimentary for you throughout the day or you can buy yourself a drink from the bar at any time.

Stony House is ideal for bigger family groups. It can also be booked by self-catering clients as it is fully set up for self-catering with the added benefit of a staff member to assist guests with cleaning, cooking and laundry. Each chalet offers a breathtaking view of the Kafue River, so you can surely expect to be woken up each morning to the call of a fish eagle or the splash of a hippo in the water.

There is no wifi at Hippo Lodge but you will not get bored. Every day spent at Hippo Lodge will be personalised and based on your wishes and interests; take a leisurely morning or evening game drive, go fishing, track birds, unwind in the hot spring, bask by the pool or simply just relax and watch the river flow by.

At Hippo Lodge, you will feel the worries of everyday life slip away.
