MAPUNGA BUSH CAMP

Mapunga is a bush camp in the Kafue National park, the nearest camp to the park entrance as well as to the Busanga Plains. We offer en-suite tented chalets & camping.

ABOUT THE ACCOMMODATION

Mapunga is the ideal place for any traveler, with the option of a simple camping spot under the shade of a beautiful fig, or in one of our tents made for those looking for a bit more luxury in the wild. We have 5 authentic en-suite riverside tents each with a river facing verandah. Guests staying in tents have the option of self-catering or full board.

We also offer 8 campsites, 5 riverside, each campsite is equipped with its own water point, overhead light & braai stand.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Mapunga was born in 2016, a rustic camp with 600m river front on the banks of the Kafue River, and is the nearest campsite to the park entrance and to the Busanga Plains.

For 8 years the Geldenhuys family have been sharing their home there, allowing many to affordably discover an area of untouched wilderness in the Kafue National Park.
