VICTORIA FALLS ACCOMMODATION

The accommodation listed on this page falls on the Zambian side of Victoria Falls. Many of the options feature beautiful views of the Zambezi River, which forms the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. The Falls were described as the ‘Mosi-oa-Tunya’ by the Kololo tribe in the 1800s, which means ‘The Smoke that Thunders’ for the spray and noise.

Accommodation around the Victoria Falls area on the Zambian side is very varied offering hotels, hostels, backpackers, campsites, lodges, guest-houses and resorts catering for a variety of budgets and tastes. Many of these establishments pride themselves on their exceptional level of service, superb hospitality and friendly staff. Budget campsites and backpackers are generally safe and provide a good base to meet other like-minded travellers, while top-of-the-line hotels and lodges often have 24-hour reception, concierge services, Wi-Fi, satellite television and room service.

Many are in close proximity to attractions such as Devils Pool and the Victoria Falls Bridge, which is famous for its bungee jumping and rope swinging. The small town of Livingstone is just about 10km / 6mi  from Victoria Falls.

Most of the accommodation on the Zambian side is located along the banks of the upper Zambezi River. Choices range from luxurious suites and romantic river villas to simple chalets and rustic huts. Below you will find a selection to suit your requirements.
