Proflight Zambia has increased its flights between Lusaka and South Africa to meet greater demand over the coming festive season.

A third daily service is now operating in the evenings between Kenneth Kaunda International Airport and OR Tambo International in Johannesburg. In addition to the existing flights on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, Proflight has added the following option:

  • Depart Lusaka 15:30 Arrive Johannesburg 17:30
  • Depart Johannesburg 18:25 Arrive Lusaka 20:25

A fourth weekly service will be offered in Cape Town from 11 December 2026. In addition to the existing flights on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, there will be a new flight on Fridays that will make a brief stop in Livingstone for those passengers at Victoria Falls. The proposed timings are as follows:

  • Depart Lusaka 10:40 Arrive Cape Town 15:05
  • Depart Cape Town 15:55 Arrive Lusaka 20:10

The evening arrivals in Lusaka allow passengers to overnight in the city before heading out on morning flights to Mfuwe International Airport for South Luangwa National Park. The routing via Livingstone is ideal for those wanting to incorporate the Falls into their journey.
