KENNETH KAUNDA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Formerly known as Lusaka International Airport, Zambia’s main airport is located northeast of the capital’s central business district. It is not to be confused with Lusaka City Airport, which is within the city for small aircraft only.
Kenneth Kuanda International boasts two terminals with domestic flights passing through Terminal One and international ones through Terminal Two, which opened in 2021 (along with a new air traffic control tower and hotel).
Car rental companies at the airport include Avis Rent A Car and Europcar (if possible, secure your vehicle in advance).
There is a private shuttle service between the city and airport that can be booked in advance.
Public transport includes the Chelstone bus route and Ulendo, a popular local ride-hailing service that is similar to Uber (which is not popular in Zambia).
