TRACK AND TRAIL RIVER CAMP

An intimate safari lodge, ideally located on the banks of the Luangwa river, with easy, year-round access. Only 5 minutes from the main entrance of the South Luangwa National Park, offering visitors a “Simply Safari  Escape”. Facilities and most accommodation options are scattered along the river frontage.

Accommodation varies from double and single-storey chalets to more secluded chalets on elevated platforms. Guests can also choose from three en-suite riverside safari tents, or the Hippo Hide — a self-catering bungalow set on a private lagoon frequently visited by hippo, elephant, giraffe, various antelope species, warthog and an abundance of birdlife. The spacious private sundeck offers the perfect spot to relax while watching wildlife pass by.

Track & Trail River Camp’s down to earth feel is reflected in its relaxing atmosphere and modern design with an African touch. The Lime tree lounge, bar and dining area offer stunning views over the Luangwa River while at night the cozy fireplace invites for stargazing.

At the centrally located elevated swimming pool, you can keep an eye on the hippo’s in the river and crocodiles that lounge in the sun.

For a sense of well-being, there is an open-air gym and a spa offering various treatments to relax body and mind.
