TAFIKA CAMP- REMOTE AFRICA SAFARIS

Tafika Camp is located on the northern boundary of the Nsefu sector, where the South Luangwa National Park straddles the Luangwa River. The camp boasts a spectacular vista across the river where hippos and crocodiles wallow on sandbars, water birds go about their daily business and animals come down to drink.

Tafika comprises 6 chalets; 4 twin chalets with two double beds in each, one honeymoon suite with a king bed and a romantic double outdoor shower and a two-roomed family chalet accommodating 4 people (one king bed and twin doubles). All chalets are fashioned from natural materials and have en-suite facilities with showers open to the trees and starry skies.

Hosting up to a maximum of 14 guests the camp provides an intimate setting where guests can enjoy highly personalised care. The cuisine is excellent and is supplemented by fresh fruit and vegetables from the camp garden. The kitchen is continuously complimented for its delicious meals and home-made bread.

Tafika offers a wide range of activities including walking safaris, mountain biking, day and night game drives and game viewing from hides (seasonal). For a cultural experience, one may visit the local school and village, Mkasanga. Being in a remote location, one will seldom see another vehicle during excursions.

Tafika Camp is home to owners, John and Carol Coppinger and their family, and this contributes to the friendly and homely atmosphere.
