Founded in 2023, Everwild began as a mobile Zambezi River camp and has grown to ten intimate camps across four Zambian national parks, with authentic travel and exceptional guest experiences being our core value.

Everwild Travel was founded in 2023 by James Williams, Donna Stokes and Brian Ross, with a shared vision to create deeply immersive safari experiences rooted in wild places and genuine hospitality. What began as a single mobile camp on the banks of the Zambezi River in western Zambia was shaped by a hands-on approach to safari operations and a belief that great camps should feel personal, remote, and thoughtfully run.

In the early Lumbe Pools dyas, Everwild focused on flexibility and simplicity, operating a mobile camp that allowed guests to experience Zambia’s wilderness at close quarters. This formative period established the principles that continue to guide the company today: small-scale camps, carefully chosen locations, and an unwavering focus on the guest experience.

The portfolio grew to include camps in Kafue National Park, South Luangwa, Luambe, and North Luangwa, bringing together a diverse collection of experiences ranging from classic safari camps to adventurous sleep-out concepts.

Throughout its development, Everwild has placed strong emphasis on rebuilding, revitalising, and reimagining camps while improving comfort, design, and operational standards. Today, Everwild operates ten camps across four national parks, yet retains the ethos of its beginnings: a fanatical dedication to hospitality in wild places, delivered with warmth, character, and a deep respect for Zambia’s landscapes and wildlife.

Everwild was built by people who live and work in the bush, not by distant investors or hotel groups. Each property has a strong sense of story and place, rather than a polished, uniform feel.

Unlike operators that prioritise scale or luxury for its own sake, Everwild deliberately keeps its camps small and personal, allowing for genuine relationships between guests, guides, and hosts. This intimacy creates a relaxed atmosphere where days unfold naturally, shaped by the landscape, wildlife, and the interests of each group.
