Proflight Zambia has increased its turboprop fleet from four to seven with the acquisition of three BAE Jetstream 41s. The planes have been bought from Eastern Airways, a regional airline in the UK, and flown to Lusaka by Proflight crew from North Lincolnshire.

Proflight’s fleet now comprises:

  • 7 29-seater Jetstream 41s
  • 5 50-seater Bombardier CRJ-200s
  • 1 Bombardier CRJ-100 parcel freighter for small packages and post

The newest Jetstreams will not only increase Proflight’s carrying capacity but also allow operations to continue during maintenance. The airline is hoping to extend its routes and increase its passenger numbers as the Zambian government targets a 20% increase in tourism for 2026.
