NORTH LUANGWA RIVER LODGE
Set along the Luangwa River in a grove of ancient leadwood trees, North Luangwa River Lodge consists of four solar-powered bungalows constructed from natural materials, each with en suite bathrooms and balconies offering panoramic views of the Luangwa and Lutaba Rivers.
With the camp being unfenced, guests can expect the occasional wildlife visitor to walk right through camp. During their stay, guests can also enjoy guided walks, game drives and birdwatching, with the opportunity to visit the nearby rhino sanctuary.
The park has reintroduced black rhino and now has a successful conservation program, offering a chance to spot this rare animal. Large herds of buffalo and zebra, as well as the endemic Cookson’s wildebeest, wild dog, lion, and spotted hyena, are also regularly encountered close to camp. In addition to the fully inclusive booking basis on offer, self-driving guests are also welcome and are able to drive through the park at their own pace whilst still enjoying the comforts and catering of a lodge stay.
Located in the North Luangwa National Park, North Luangwa River Lodge can be reached via road or a short 45-minute flight from Mfuwe Airport.
