One of the most popular venues for steaks in Lusaka at the Lusaka Club, especially  the aged fillet with mushroom or pepper sauce. Reservations are strongly recommended.

Cattleman’s Grill – Los Angeles Boulevard, Chimar Hotel
Well known for their flame-grilled barbecue selections, . It’s a good place to mix with   visiting business types and expats, in a relaxed atmosphere outdoors under a high thatch roof next to the pool at the Chrismar Hotel. There is usually live music on the weekends.

Design House Café – Sugarbush Farm, Leopards Hill Rd
Chill out for an afternoon at one of the picnic tables munching on homemade bread and pastries, salads made with vegetables from the organic garden and expertly prepared sandwiches, pasta and meat dishes as well as a glass of wine. Every Sunday from noon to 3pm is a special roast rump of beef and Yorkshire pudding meal – reservations recommended

Rhapsody’s – Arcades shopping Centre
The view of the mall’s parking lot may not be that great but the food is excellent. It has huge eating areas, inside and outside under an industrial-style roof, and the international menu does everything from steaks to Thai chicken, salads, seafood and even nasi goreng.

Located in a quiet neighbourhood lies a culinary gem. Eviva, Run by   Akis and Eleni, the restaurant offers a great dining experience for family, friends and business colleagues. Apart from Greek specialties they also have a good sushi and seafood menu.

Dil ~ Indian – Ibex Hill and Acacia Office Park
One of Lusaka’s oldest restaurants with a great reputation. The Royal Dil has now opened in Acacia Park and the Dil restaurant is still in Ibex Hill. Friendly staff and large variety of dishes to choose from, DiIl is known for the best Indian food in town. If you can’t find something you like they will make up a dish for you! Portions are generous, and it’s easy to order a variety of dishes and share.

Sechuan ~ Chinese – Show Grounds
This is probably the best Chinese restaurant in Lusaka – if you like sechuan style chinese cuisine. It is located inside an exhibition hall, including the parking. Consistently good food and service   and you don’t get wet in rainy season when you get out of the car!

Mint Lounge – Acacia Office park next to Arcades shopping Centre
A casual, coffee shop vibe and lovely outdoor seating area surrounded with beautiful, manicured plants. It offers a large selection of Western-style dishes like tortilla wraps, omelettes and pasta but is known for its unique sandwiches and fresh smoothies. It’s great for a light, healthy lunch with friends

The Deli – Lunzua Road, off Addis Ababa – Rhodes Park
Boasting the best barista in Lusaka as well as  a garden setting, the Deli is a good place to plant yourself for a few hours.
