Diners and even yoga groups are making the most of the newly built Tree Deck at Kafunta River Lodge in South Luangwa National Park.
The deck, which used to be at the front of the lodge overlooking the productive floodplain, was moved during the construction of Sunset House, a safari villa. Relocated to the back of the property, it now overlooks a dry oxbow lagoon and is shaded by a canopy of mature trees. Its elevated position allows for both welcome airiness on hot days and lovely views of the passing parade in the lagoon.
The Tree Deck is already coming into its own for lunches and being commandeered as the perfect yoga pavilion by a recent group of yoga-loving guests!
