With the anticipation of increased traffic, cargo and passenger numbers, Zambia’s newly upgraded passenger terminal at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport, Lusaka is now open.
The Southern & East African Tourism Update reported that Terminal 2’s upgrades make it possible to handle more international arrivals and departures with its annual capacity of four million passengers.
“Zambia is upgrading airport infrastructure – including airstrips – countrywide in a bid to improve the air transport sector. Outgoing Zambian President, Edgar Chagwa Lungu, said last week that the government’s goal was to make Zambia a regional air transport hub.”
