Floor-to-ceiling glass windows, with wooden Venetian-style blinds have been installed along the front and partial sides of the luxury chalets, allowing for panoramic views of the Zambezi River. Other enhancements include new teak-sculpted doors at the entrance of each chalet, as well as the addition of a second small bathroom, located upstairs just off the bedroom. The old thatch roofs have been replaced with tin; and tan-coloured ripstop canvas has been fitted to the outside of the chalets.

“We are thrilled with the results of our upgrade, with all the new fixtures and finishes perfectly complementing the Edwardian ambience our guests have come to expect from The River Club”, says owner Peter Jones. The main areas have not been changed, including the property’s famous infinity pool and beautiful gardens.
