We were on a safari in Zambia, Kafue National Park, the sunset was beautiful when we stopped near a dam to look around if animals would appear.

Everything was quiet; there was nothing special until one hippo strolling around decided to go into the water.

Its bath was then quite surprising! It suddenly began to roll around in the water showing its pink belly, with its legs directed to the sky. It repeated that show several times apparently for no special reason, then stopped, rolled over and carried on as normal

We are still wondering what could be the hippo reasons to roll like a barrel? Perhaps because of some tickling or insect bites that it could not scratch, or just having fun, who knows?
