I could stay lost in this moment forever.

Moments like this don’t happen all too often. Unless you’re Misha Gillingham. She’s the woman behind Wildluxe, one of the top luxury travel blogs in the world. She seeks out the most luxurious spots on the planet and then visits them for a living.

Recently, she visited Africa for the very first time and travelled to Zambia to lap up luxury at Tongabezi. During her two nights in the Nut House and one night in a chalet at Sindabezi, she got utterly lost in several moments that she wished would last forever.

The momentous travel experiences were thankfully documented on her Instagram account for wanderlusters from all corners of the earth to follow.

Let’s take an insta(gram) vacation with Wildluxe and get wonderfully lost in luxury, shall we?

Misha: There are no words to describe this experience. I’m entirely speechless.

Misha: River cruising with Tongabezi. We saw zebras, warthogs, crocodiles, hippos, impalas, baboons, and all kinds of birds. Can’t wait for our game drive tomorrow! (P.S. Doesn’t Tongabezi look awesome from this view?)

Misha: Magical mornings on the Zambezi. The past few days have been indescribable. I’ve had some of the most unique dining experiences imaginable. I’ve gone on a river safari. I swam in a natural pool at the top of Victoria Falls. I’ve experienced some of the best service a guest can hope for. I’m feeling extremely lucky to be able to have experienced all of this and am super excited for the adventures that lay ahead.

Misha: As I write this post I’m lying in bed in awe of my current situation. Tongabezi has a main lodge where I spent 2 nights, and also a private island on the Zambezi River called Sindabezi. Sindabezi is right on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe inside of a national park. It’s more rustic than the main lodge as the chalets have no walls and its right in the middle of all the wildlife. The sun is rising and from my bed I can see baboons, hippos, warthogs, elephants, and even a crocodile!

Misha: One of the many amazing things about Tongabezi is that they’ll set up and serve you your gourmet dinner anywhere you want. One evening we chose to eat on this floating platform. The staff used a little row boat to bring us our food and somehow managed to keep everything hot and delicious. As the sun went down we got to take in all of the sights and sounds of the Zambezi like never before. This is a MUST DO if you make it out to Tongabezi!

Misha: Every single inch of Tongabezi is picture perfect, in the most natural way. I’ll be dreaming of this magical spot for the rest of my life.
