Love MTB and love wildlife? Then take the chance to combine the two by joining the 2024 Elephant Epic and help raise funds for Game Rangers International.

The race starts just outside Lusaka and finishes 75km later at Kiambi Lodge in Lower Zambezi National Park on Saturday 22 June 2024.

The Route

The race kicks off at 6:30am sharp at 24km past the Leopards Hill Boom along Leopards Hill Road heading out of Lusaka. Cycling down the escarpment, you will encounter a combination of tar, jeep and single track. There will be four water stations en route while finishers can look forward to a view of the Zambezi River.

Race Fees

Entry fees have been set as follows:

  • Juniors (13 – 17) USD55 early bird | USD75 after 9 June
  • Adults (18+) USF85 early bird | USD100 after 9 June

Awards

The awards ceremony will be at 11:30am for the following categories:

  • Fastest Man, Woman, Junior and Team
  • Epic rider who overcame the biggest challenge to complete the race
  • Five or 10 years in the saddles for riders who’ve completed five or 10 races
