Project Description
SINDABEZI ISLAND CAMP
Sindabezi Island belongs to the Green Safaris group.
Green Safaris is driven by their passion to preserve the most pristine areas of African nature. And to share their passion with guests, by offering unique experiences & intimate encounters in the most beautiful and remote locations.
With the greatest care Green Safaris have handpicked their destinations where they operate premier camps. Every place has a special story to tell and is part of an important ecosystem.
ABOUT THE ACCOMMODATION
Sindabezi has only five open-sided thatched cottages, allowing guests to soak up the sights and sounds of the African bush in the perfect, pristine setting. Views across the flood plains of the Zambezi and into the nearby National Park complete the experience.
The five Sindabezi Island Chalets are perched on stilted wooden decks to allow full immersion into the sights and sounds of our evocative African setting. Conservation conscious travellers will be delighted to know that the Island is completely independent from the grid and comfort conscious guests will be overjoyed to know they will be pampered with piping hot water, gourmet meals, ice cold drinks and gorgeously romantic lighting.
Imagine how magical Sindabezi Island would be if you are travelling with a small group. We have special rates for guests who wish to book the island exclusively.
Many guests combine Sindabezi with a stay at our sister property Tongabezi Lodge, a short boat ride away.
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Sindabezi Island Camp is Tongabezi’s little sister. Both these wonderful properties have recently joined the Green Safaris family who operates lodges around Zambia and on Likoma Island in Malawi.
Sindabezi Island is unique – the discerning traveller’s best kept secret. An idyllic, exclusive camp on our very own private isle on the Zambezi River, it is the only luxury bush camp from where Victoria Falls can comfortably be explored. Experience the large number of activities in the area during the day and return to a tranquil haven, a thousand light years away from the bustle at night. Fodor’s consider Sindabezi one of the top 10 eco lodges in Africa.
There are only five open-sided thatched Chalets on the entire island, allowing guests to soak up the sights and sounds of a pristine African bush setting. Views across the flood plains of the Zambezi and into the nearby National Park complete the experience.
