-Asking about Vaccinations?
Yellow fever certificates are only mandatory for visitors entering Zambia from certain ‘at risk’ countries. Zimbabwe is NOT considered a high-risk area – so one won’t be needed, however, they are required for travellers who have transited through the airport of a country with risk of yellow fever transmission. So, if you’re travelling to or through any other countries en route – check to see if they are risk areas. The vaccination needs to be done within a certain window period before travel – so you would need to ensure you are vaccinated no less than 10 days before entering the yellow fever risk area.
