Description

Chamilandu’s three stilted chalets are situated in a soaring ebony grove, on the banks of the Luangwa River, with a stunning view of the Chindeni Hills in the distance. With private showers open to the sky, and an open front to the chalets, Chamilandu guests experience all the majesty of the vast African sky from the comfort and safety of their own chalet.

In addition to the thatched bar and dining area, this intimate camp also has a secluded hide overlooking a waterhole, the perfect spot to see a wide variety of animals throughout the day.

Walking safaris are the normal morning activity at Chamilandu, with a game drive in the afternoon/evening.

About the company

Chamilandu Bushcamp is part of The Bushcamp Company, which operates Mfuwe Lodge and six Bushcamps, all located within South Luangwa National Park. The company was founded in the early 2000s when Andy Hogg and Andrea Bizzaro combined their separate holdings and formed a partnership.

Starting with the Lodge and two Bushcamps, they added Bushcamps over the years. Andrea moved back to Malawi a few years ago, but Andy remains Managing Director.
