Nanzhila Plains Safari Camp.
The Camp is located in the remote southern sector of the Kafue National Park offering and exclusive and intimate experience for its guests.
The Lodge’s Boma, shaded by an ancient African Ebony and Sausage Trees, is your window to the Nanzhila Plain. The Boma is your dining area, your sundowner spot and your meeting place. The Boma also has an open air fireplace, – the perfect place for star-gazing and cosy evening gatherings round the camp fire.
At Nanzhila, our spaceous thatched cottages, discretely built within the natural tree environment, offer magnificent view of Nangandwe Pool and the surrounding bush. Each cottage is tastefully furnished and have their own en-suite facilities. For those seeking a more traditional safari experience, Nanzhila also has three meru-style luxury tents, each furnished to a high standard, with en-suite bathrooms and private verandas.
For the more adventurous and independent Nanzhila also offer camping sites, together with hot showers and flushing toilets.

About the company
Covering an area the size of Wales the Kafue National Park has an astonishing array of habitats and boasts the greatest variety of game in Zambia, with at least 160 species of mammal and over 500 species of birds.
All the major predators are present, including particularly healthy populations of cheetah and wild dog, and antelopes (of which 21 species have been recorded in the park), such as roan and sable, hartebeest, reedbuck and oribi are seen regularly, along with elephant, zebra, warthog and numerous other smaller animals.
Birdlife can best be described as spectacular. The Nanzhila Plains provide the best opportunity to view the black-cheeked lovebird, endemic to this part of Zambia.
