The Island Trail Canoe Safari takes you on a four-day, nature-lover adventure down the Zambezi River. You will spend your days floating along the quiet river viewing the wildlife, birds and beautiful sceneries, and enjoy your evenings camping under the milkyway with the beautiful sounds of the river flowing past.
All your equipment will travel down the river with you to the various islands, and you’ll be accompanied the whole way by well-trained and experienced guides, who will also prepare all your meals, and help you to erect camp each evening. You will camp on various river-islands along the way as you travel through the Lower Zambezi Valley, the Chiawa Game Management Area, and Mana Pools National Park.
The Lower Zambezi National Park is the newest of Zambia’s exceptional, undeveloped wildlife areas. And together with Zimbabwe’s Mana Pools Reserve the area provides a massive transfrontier wildlife sanctuary. Most activities are concentrated along the Zambezi as this is what draws the animals and aside from game drives and walking safaris the area offers canoe trips and tiger fishing.
