The Group:
Insombo-Malimba dance troupe is a Zambian cultural dance group specialized in Zambian traditional dance and music.
The group members are able to design their own costumes and native music instruments.
The group is based in Lusaka - Zambia and all members are Zambians by nationality.
Cultural Dance:
The group performs different tradition dances from nine province of Zambia, depicting indigenous African heritage through traditional music and dance.
African traditional music is fascinating because it gives people an opportunity to see how Africans can express themselves through music, and Insombo-Malimba acts has a bridge to relay this cultural heritage through African tradition music and dance.
Cultural Exchange:
As cultural ambassadors, we carry out workshops in Schools and universities lecturing to pupils and students how we can preserve our African culture and history through traditional music and Dance.
