Chindeni overlooks a permanent lagoon of the Luangwa River, with a sweeping view of the Chindeni Hills beyond. Its four spacious tents sit on stilts in the trees, and the hammocks on every veranda are the perfect siesta spot.
The deck at Chindeni is ideal for a relaxing afternoon with a cool drink, and there’s nothing like a Mongolian barbecue on the Chindeni “beach.”
Walking safaris are the normal morning activity at Chindeni, with a game drive in the afternoon/evening.
About the company
Chindeni Bushcamp is part of The Bushcamp Company, which operates Mfuwe Lodge and six Bushcamps, all located within South Luangwa National Park. The company was founded in the early 2000s when Andy Hogg and Andrea Bizzaro combined their separate holdings and formed a partnership.
Starting with the Lodge and two Bushcamps, they added Bushcamps over the years. Andrea moved back to Malawi a few years ago, but Andy remains Managing Director.
